It’s that time of year where we give thanks for all the important things in our life. Of course, family, friends, and good health are all very important. But, I’m also very thankful for some of my favorite beauty products. You know, the ones that give you that healthy glow, make your eyes pop, make your hair soft and shiny, and the ones that make you look like you just walked out of the door even after a long day at the office. Here’s a list of the beauty products I am thankful for.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Tube – Sin
I absolutely love this product. In my opinion, it makes a world of difference to your eyeshadow application. When I apply eyeshadow without this product, it just does not have the same effect. The colors aren’t as vibrant and seem to wear off by the end of the day. With this product, you get the true color of the eyeshadow(s) you are applying and they stay put all day long. I also love that this product last so long. One tube last me almost a year – and I wear it almost every day! With Christmas right around the corner, I hope this is one product that will be in my stocking. Photo credit: Sephora
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
I’ve used this product for many, many years. I tried to find another foundation option, one that was a little less expensive – but I always come back to Double Wear. Why? It’s such a great product for me, especially since I live in Florida. This product provides great coverage (whether you use a little or a lot – I use a little) and stays put all day. I have worn it during a 5K run, a rainy Christmas Parade and in the 100 degree summer heat. It looks great from dusk to dawn (and beyond!). It also has an SPF which is important for fighting wrinkles. Photo credit: Estee Lauder
Ole Henriksen Power Peel Professional Spa Grade Kit
I strongly believe it is important to exfoliate the skin. Daily exfoliators are great (and I have a few favorites) but it is also important to give your skin a deep exfoliation every few months. My favorite by far is the Ole Henriksen Power Peel. The three-step process provides a spa like experience and leaves your skin feeling amazing. Photo credit: Sephora
Benefit They’re Real! Mascara
I like several mascaras and am always willing to try a new one. However, I really like Benefit’s They’re Real! mascara. It really plumps up your lashes, stays on (with no smudging or running), does not bother my sensitive eyes and comes off easily with the proper makeup remover. Photo credit: Sephora
Babyliss Flat Iron
My hair is naturally curly – but have you seen naturally curly hair in the Florida humidity? It’s not pretty. Your hair looks fabulous in the mirror but as soon as you walk out the door – poof! At least that is my experience. Using a flat iron helps tame the frizz and provide smooth hair all day long. My first flat iron was a $35 one that I purchased at the local drugstore. It did a good job but I knew it could be better. I finally invested in a more expensive flat iron, the Babyliss, and life got even better! If you use a flat iron often, I highly suggest you go ahead and invest in a good one and I highly recommend the Babyliss. Photo credit: Ulta
