June’s Glam Bag, packaged in a cool graffiti style cosmetic bag, features products for the eyes, cheeks, face and hair.
In my review, I’ve included the product, the benefits (as claimed by the product), the size I received and the value compared to the normal retail size and price. Often, a discount is available if you decide to purchase the retail product – I’ve included that info as well (offers are for a limited time). Keep in mind that Ipsy Glam Bags vary by person. What you receive is based on the profile you established. Here’s my review of the products I received in my December Ispy Glam Bag.
Elizabeth Mott – Show Me Your Cheeks Blush in Peach Pink
Stated Benefits: long-lasting, cruelty-free
Ipsy Value: 2.5 g ~ $11.50 (vs. 5 g full size at $23)
Ipsy Discount: $10 off purchases $35+ at elizabethmott.com
My thoughts: An iridescent peachy pink color that should complement any summer look.
ColourPop Cosmetics – Creme Gel Liner in Swerve (rich onyx black)
Stated Benefits: glides on, blends easily, use on lid or waterline
Ipsy Value: full size at $5.00
Ipsy Discount: $5 off purchase at colourpop.com
My Thoughts: Color: Never have much luck with applying eyeliner to my waterline. This one specifically notes waterline application so I may give it a try.
12 Benefits – Instant Healthy Hair Treatment
Stated Benefits: light, clean scent, can use daily or as needed, makes hair color last longer
Ipsy Value: 1.5 oz (full size) at $7.99
Ipsy Discount: none
My Thoughts: As someone who colors and uses heating products to style my hair (hairdryer and flat-iron), I’m always looking for good hair treatments. Also, it smells amazing!
Urban Decay – Eyeshadow in Lounge (a decadent reddish-brown topped with teal-green shimmer)
Stated Benefits: last all day, non-creasing, velvet feel
Ipsy Value: .2g = $2.5 (vs. full size 1.5 g at $19.00)
Ipsy Discount: none
My Thoughts: I love Urban Decay eyeshadow, it’s what I wear everyday. This shadow is very interesting – it appears to be green but goes on brown. I currently wear Urban Decay’s Twice Baked, which is a brownish color, so I’m eager to try this one to see how it compares. Note: Product pictured to the left is the regular size product, not the sample size in the Ipsy Glam Bag. I used this image because it shows the unique color better.
Rodial – Stem Cell Cleansing Cream
Stated Benefits: contains antioxidants, rose hip oil, coco butter, vitamin E
Ipsy Value: 1 oz ~ $5.75 (vs. 6.8 oz full size = $40.00)
Ipsy Discount: 20% off any purchase at rodail.co.uk
My Thoughts: Can never get enough skincare products. This one states that it is a 2-in-1 cleanser and mask.
This month’s Ipsy Value: ~ $32.74
I look forward to giving these products a try! Stay tuned for my review of the DHC Cleaning Oil that I received in a recent Glam Bag.
Until next time, stay beautiful! ~ Devon
