Product Review: Naked Cosmetics HD Finishing Powder – Banana

fileAssetMy February Ipsy Glam Bag included a Naked Cosmetics HD Finishing Powder in Banana. I’m always interested in trying new loose powders as I have yet to find the perfect one. Not only did I love this product, I’ve already purchased a new one for my everyday use. Here are some of the reasons I love it:

  • Powder doesn’t go on heavy and makes foundation look flawless.
  • One of the product features is to minimize under-eye darkness – and it does just that!
  • The yellow tone of the powder (hence the name ‘Banana”) helps neutralize redness.

After receiving the product in my Ipsy Glam Bag, I used it off and on, but not daily. Lately, my schedule has been very busy. Lots going on and very little rest and relaxation. The days that I did not wear the powder, I would often have folks say “You look tired, are you doing ok?” The days I wore the powder, that never happened. That’s when I realized how well the powder worked. The powder can be worn over foundation, as a finishing powder (which is how I wear it) or can be used in areas where you would normally use a concealer.

Currently, the powder is on sale on the Naked Cosmetics website for $14.99 – which is well worth the price based on what I’ve paid for other finishing powders in the past. The only negative is that the container size is only 10g, which is rather small for a powder. However, it appears from the website that they are coming out with a new, larger size in the near future (which may be why the smaller size is on sale). I was also pleased with the shipping time frame. It arrived within 2-3 days after I ordered it. The company appears to be based in Florida, which is where I am, so that probably was a factor in the quick shipping.

If you’re looking for a finishing powder that neutralizes redness and minimizes dark under-eye circles leaving you with near flawless finish, I highly recommend Naked Cosmetics HD Finishing Powder.

Until next time, stay beautiful! ~ Devon
